CORRECTIONS & CHALLENGES

Better evidence changes the record—without erasing it.

Challenge rule

A user challenge creates a new, separate Challenge Issue. It is independently researched and assessed before it can affect the original claim.

Possible effects

A resolved challenge may add evidence, downweight or invalidate an evidence item, reclassify its relationship, modify context, require a claim split, or have no material effect.

Weighted impact

The parent claim is affected only in proportion to how strongly the challenge issue is itself supported, how uncertain that assessment is, and how material the issue is to the parent evidence graph.

Corrections

Substantive corrections create a new revision with a dated explanation. Prior assessments remain inspectable. Silent edits are limited to non-substantive formatting, spelling or broken-link repairs.

Abuse

Challenges are evidence submissions, not votes. Repetition, coordinated brigading, harassment or duplicate links do not increase evidentiary weight.
